Coaldale driver is issued citation

Franklin John Kunkle III, 101 E. High St., Coaldale, was issued a citation for criminal mischief as a result of an incident on Tuesday in Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning.

Police said they were summoned to the residence of Doreen and George Stewart, 400 Lake Drive, to investigate a criminal mischief incident and arrested Kunkle for spinning his car tires in the couple's driveway.

In another report, police said they issued two traffic citations on Tuesday for incidents that happened at the intersection of routes 209 and 93. The defendants were not identified by police, who said one person was cited for passing in a no passing zone and the other was charged for failure to stop for a posted stop sign.
