West Penn Police monthly report
West Penn Township Chief of Police Brian Johnson has released the report for his department for the month of November.
West Penn Police answered a total of 315 calls for the month.
A total of 81 traffic citations were issued, including 73 for speeding, 4 for driving while suspended or revoked, and one each for careless driving, red light violation, required financial insurance and a child seat/seat belt violation.
There were 49 written warnings issued, including 37 for speeding and 11 for equipment.
There were 7 non-traffic citations/criminal arrests, with 2 each for harassment by communication and disorderly conduct and one each for DUI, fleeing police and receiving stolen property.
Twelve motor vehicle accidents were investigated.
The three police vehicles patrolled a total of 5,526 miles for the month.
The department collected $2,042.04 in fines.
