Driver flees scene of one-car crash

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened at 4:50 a.m. Saturday on Adamsdale Road in North Manheim Township.

Police said a 1995 Saab sedan was eastbound on Adamsdale Road when it drifted off the eastbound shoulder and struck a tree. The car then slid down a steep embankment and came to rest in a field, after which time the operator fled the scene.

Police said the vehicle is registered to Marco P. Buergers of Cressona.
