It was announced today that legislation would be introduced immediately calling for the registration of all men from 18 to 65 to register for military service. The legislation would make men from 19 to 45 "responsible for service." It was stressed that a boy of 19 would be trained a year and then be full grown and more ready for service. It was stated, "Of course a boy 19 would not be sent into combat service."
