The New Year will mark the beginning of a new era for the Northern Lehigh Column. Times News reporter Terry Ahner, who knows the area well, will become the columnist.

A few days ago I turned 62 years old and am taking my early Social Security; however, occasionally will write features for Times News.

I like to thank all my readers for their support through the years and all the many new friends I made. It has been an enjoyable time in my life. My readers with their news tips made it so easy for me.

St. John's UCC Christmas services

Christmas Eve there will be a Family Candle Light Service at 5:30 p.m. and Traditional Candle Light Service at 8 p.m.

Northern Lehigh Community Center

Northern Lehigh Community Center (NLCC) is asking the public to please save "Moo caps" from Turkey Hill gallon milk containers. This is an ongoing fundraiser for the NLCC.
