Driver is injured in Lynn Township crash

Gerald T. Wolf Jr., 50, of Allentown, sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 1 a.m. Nov. 20 at the intersection of routes 309 and 143 in Lynn Township, Lehigh County.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said he sustained head injuries and was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital by the Northwestern Ambulance.

Police said he was driving a 2003 Workhorse north on Rt. 309 in heavy rain conditions. At the intersection of Rt.143, he failed to negotiate a right turn in the roadway, lost control and traveled onto the right berm where the vehicle overturned onto its roof.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
