Driver is uninjured in Carbon mishap
Rachel L. Kenion, 21, of Lehighton, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. on Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.
Police said she was driving a 2002 Nissan Sentry south on Dairy Road, north of Maple Drive, and was attempting to negotiate a bend in the road when the rear tires of the vehicle began to slide on the wet roadway. Police said the Sentry left its lane of travel, crossed over the northbound land and went into a wooded area where it struck small trees and shrubbery.
Police said the car sustained major front end damages to the grill and hood area and was towed from the scene.
