Car hits rock on Route 61
No one was injured when a car struck a large rock that was in the northbound lane of Route 61 in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Dawn Phillips, 33, of New Philadelphia, was driving the 2000 Dodge Intrepid when the incident happened, requiring the vehicle to be towed from the scene.
Neither she nor passenger Jerri Evans, 51, of Saint Clair, sustained injuries.
