Christmas Nativity Festival planned at Lehighton church

Trinity Lutheran Church, Lehighton, will hold a Christmas Nativity Festival on from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5; and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. There will be a 12-foot high decorated Christmas tree in the center of Luther Hall, surrounded by nearly 30 Christmas nativity sets on display from members of the church.

There will be manger scenes of different sizes, styles, colors and materials, along with a brief explanations about the family history and significance of the set.

Everyone is invited to sample some Christmas cookies, along with tea, coffee and mulled cider, as seasonal music plays in the background. The display and refreshments are free. Additional packs of cookies will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to World Hunger Appeal of the ELCA.
