Minor injuries resulted in a four-vehicle crash at 1:40 p.m. Dec. 19 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said the accident happened about 230 feet west of Valley View Drive, in front of the parking lot at the Burger King Plaza.

Police said John M. Wieczerzak, 47, of Sciota, was driving a 2009 Ford Ranger. Due to slippery road conditions caused by the start of a snowstorm, he was unable to make a planned turn into the parking lot and pulled the truck onto the east berm.

At that time, a 2007 Toyota Prius, driven by Justin T. Couchman, 26, of Saylorsburg, slid into the southbound laned when the driver over-reacted to Wieczerzak's move, causing the Prius to collide headon with a 1999 Toyota 4Runner driven by Daniel P. Fisher, 42, of Saylorsburg.

Police said the 4Runner began to roll over while the Prius slid sideways into the path of the 4Runner and a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox operated by William F. Lightboy, 43, also of Saylorsburg, causing the Equinox to strike the driver;s side of the Prius.

Police said Fisher, Couchman and two passengers in Fisher's vehicle, Lisa M. Fisher, 42, and Brittany Fisher, 7, both of Saylorsburg, were injured and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, in the West End Ambulance.

Police said all four drivers were issued citations.
