Tobyhanna woman facing DUI charge

Laurence Woods of Tobyhanna was arrested for driving under the influrence of alcohol after a traffic accident at 7:03 p.m. Dec. 18 at the intersection of Rt. 196 and Wildflower Drive in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said the woman had a blood-alcohol level of .24.

Police said they responded to an accident at the intersection and learned that Woods was driving a vehicle that failed to stop for a red traffic signal, proceeded into the intersection, and struck a vehicle operated by Jennifer Pecorale, also of Tobyhanna.
