Iowa woman hurt in Monroe crash

Christina E. Figueroa, 22, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 19 on Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said she was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt west on the road when she lost control of the vehicle causing it to slide off the roadway and strike a tree.

She was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, in the West End Ambulance.
