Sofranko acknowledged for academics, athletics

Emily Sofranko of Jim Thorpe, a Wilkes University student, has been awarded MAC Conference selection for Academic Athletic Excellency for a 4.0 GPA and her sport of NCAA Women's Basketball.

Emily was also recently inducted into the Elite Colonels for her academic/athletic excellency at Wilkes. She was also chosen as National Honor Society president at Wilkes. She was also named to the dean's list for the spring semester.

Emily will be a senior this fall at Wilkes. She is majoring in education, special education and math.

She is the daughter of Mike and Therese Sofranko of Jim Thorpe.
