McAdoo woman drives drunk

Failing to stop at a stop sign, when a police cruiser was directly behind her, proved to be costly for Grace Credidio-Emery of McAdoo.

Credidio-Emery, 53, failed to stop at a sign at the intersection of Adams and Hancock streets at 11:41 p.m. on June 2, despite the police presence.

She was stopped and officers detected a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. She admitted drinking and was given, and failed field sobriety tests. Blood tests came back positive for alcohol and benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine. The tests indicate she had a blood alcohol content of .029 percent, which was below the normal limit.

However, her driver's license was suspended at the time, DUI related, which means anything over a .02 percent is considered driving drunk.

She was charged with two counts of DUI, driving with a DUI suspended license, four summary offenses and for driving drunk with a minor (a 17-year-old) in the vehicle.
