St. Luke's chef to shop, cook at farmers market
St. Luke's Miners Campus executive chef Aaron Jablin will be at the Lehighton Downtown Farmers Market on Aug. 19 for guided shopping tours of the market, followed by cooking demonstrations using produce and ingredients selected from the market that day.
Jablin invites marketgoers to join him at 10 a.m. at the St. Luke's tent, where they can then accompany him as he shops for fresh ingredients to be used in the prep and cooking demonstration that will take place immediately afterward.
St. Luke's goal is to demonstrate how easy and fun it is to shop for and cook with the fresh and healthy ingredients that are available every Saturday right in downtown Lehighton. There is no charge or age restrictions for the event.
Shopping begins at 10 a.m., and is immediately followed by the prep and cooking demonstrations.
