Artist meet and greet at art center tonight
The Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua, will host a meet and greet session for artist Joe Matukonis, from 6:30 to 8:30this evening.
A lifelong resident of this area, Matukonis remembers walking in the woods, picking mushrooms and fishing with his father. He started photography as a hobby, sharing photos with family and friends, whose encouragement resulted in selling his work at local fairs.
His work will remain on exhibit at the art center through Aug. 25.
The meet and greet is free and light refreshments will be served.
