Stolen bike recovered

McAdoo Police have charged Jose Lopez Guzman, 39, of Hazleton, with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property in connection with the theft of a Huffy mountain bike in June.

The owner of the bike reported it was stolen from his backyard. Sometime later, officers saw a juvenile riding the bike and asked where and when he got it.

The boy said his father bought it at a pawnshop in Hazleton.

After checking with the pawnshop, Guzman was identified as the man who pawned the bike.
