Traffic stop leads to DUI arrest in Polk

A 60-year-old man from Pen Argyl is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped for traffic and equipment violations by state police at Lehighton at 1:10 p.m. July 12 on Route 209 in Polk Township.

Police said after the traffic stop, the driver showed signs of impairment and was charged and transported to the Monroe County DUI Center for processing.
