    Capt. Douglas Nothstein, of the Lehighton Fire Department, (left), and Lt. Justin Smith, of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company, were honored at the Spirit of Courage dinner held Tuesday, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, in Bethlehem for their efforts in July to enter a Rock Street home engulfed in flames, searching and finding a victim in the home and dragging him outside. Despite their heroic efforts the victim later died from severe burns and smoke inhalation. The Spirit of Courage program was started by the Burn Prevention Network in partnership with Valley Preferred medical network, and the Lehigh Valley Health Network.
