Supurban run/walk to be held Saturday

The Third Annual Supurban Memorial Run/Walk, held in memory of the late Thelma Urban, will be held on Saturday at the Tamaqua Sports Complex.

The run is a 5K, while the walk is 1 mile.

The morning’s events will also feature a bounce house, a Chinese auction and more.

Mrs. Urban was a longtime language arts teacher at the Tamaqua Area Senior High School. Proceeds from the run will be used to fund scholarships for her children, Sean and Violet, and a Tamaqua senior looking to further their education in the language arts/communications field.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the action starting at 9 a.m. Pre-registrations are now being accepted at www.active.com.
