Jim Thorpe classes plan outings
Members of the Jim Thorpe Area High School Class of 1967 will meet at 10 a.m. Monday for breakfast at the Boulevard Restaurant in Lehighton.
The Class of 1964 will begin their day at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the home of Fred Bresswein, 275 Laurel Drive, Franklin Township. The group will enjoy a hike around the autumn cornfields and trails located near his home. For more information or directions, contact Fred at frdbress@ptd.net. The class members will have lunch at Country Junction at noon. They will enjoy a hayride at the facility, as well as shopping in the store following lunch.
Legion dues
Members of American Legion Post 304, Jim Thorpe, are reminded that 2018 membership dues are now being accepted. They may be mailed to the Post Home, 20 W. Sixth St., or contact Bill Diehm at 570-325-3890.
Halloween parade
The Jim Thorpe Lions Club will again sponsor the Jim Thorpe Halloween parade. It will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 29. There is no rain date. Anyone interested in participating in the parade should contact Jim Trainer or the borough office no later than Monday for a parade application.
