Shirley and Peter Blynn celebrate 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Blynn of Palmerton recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married July 14, 1956, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Palmerton.

Mrs. Blynn is the former Shirley L. Nothstein, daughter of the late Frederick E. Nothstein and Kathryn Nothstein of Palmerton. Her husband is the son of the late Oscar M. Blynn and Catherine E. Blynn of Palmerton.

The Blynns have three children: a son Peter Scott Blynn and his wife, Luciana Conti of Borgosesia, Italy; a daughter, Peggy Shupp of Naples, Florida; and a son, Chris and his wife, Christina, Blynn of Palmerton.

They have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A celebration in honor of their anniversary was held at the Blue Shamrock Country Club, attended by family and friends from around the country and overseas.
