Palmerton approves coaching moves

Brian Taschler will be Palmerton Area School District’s new baseball coach following unanimous approval Tuesday night from its board of directors.

Joining Taschler will be assistants Justin Petersen, also approved unanimously, and Kelly Bollinger, who was approved by a 5-3 vote.

In other Palmerton coaching news, the district hired:

*Dillon Massington as a half-stipend assistant wrestling coach.

*Brian Stevko, Jeremy Coleman, Tony Thomas and Jonathon Smith-Rivera as assistant boys’ basketball coaches

*Lauren Michalik as volunteer girls’ basketball coach

*Mark Quinn as volunteer boys’ basketball coach

Dan Beck and Brian Morgan will move from volunteers to assistant girls’ basketball coaches, while Casey Rinfret will go to volunteer status.
