Jury finds woman guilty of drug charges

A Schuylkill County jury last week found a Lehighton woman guilty of drug charges stemming from a 2014 incident in Tamaqua.

Judge John E. Domalakes ordered a presentence investigation before he imposes punishment on Elizabeth Tansley, 29, at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 1.

Borough police chief Richard A. Weaver charged Tansley with conspiracy to manufacture, deliver, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; two counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; criminal use of communication facility; and having a controlled substance she was not authorized to have on Oct. 29, 2014, after she sold heroin to a confidential informant.

Deputy Assistant District Attorney Jennifer N. Foose prosecuted the case. Tansley was defended by court-appointed attorney Julie A. Werdt.
