Man killed in shooting near Allentown City Hall

ALLENTOWN (AP) — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in the eastern Pennsylvania city of Allentown.

Witnesses tell The Morning Call multiple shots rang out at a parking lot near City Hall around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Several people attending class at the county courthouse say a woman ran up to them shortly afterward yelling someone had been shot.

Police arriving at the scene found a man in his late teens or early 20s in a car with gunshot wounds. The man was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity or what led to his death.

An investigation continues.
