Where is god in this picture?

Well, now. Happy Halloween!

Welcome to the new age of holding zombies, skulls, devils and bones in such high regard as to have children honoring and thrilling about a huge blown-up zombie to parade around and under! Never mind that we may not bring a Bible into our school buildings or utter a prayer to our dear God, teach them to honor zombies and devils, etc.!

Oh, but don’t forget that we have a grand sports complex, and now we are #1!!!! Isn’t that just grand, I wonder if our illustrious athletes were allowed to ask their God for strength, stamina and ability to win? Or if they even think about it anymore? But, we do have zombies and a grand playground, don’t we?

And how about our school bus rides? I do believe they have cameras on board, but, do they pick up sound? When our little ones and younger ones ride to school do they hear decent language coming from the “bigger” kids?

Or is it vulgarities that they hear and learn on their bus to school? If I were a betting person, I’d bet they hear the latter. Then there is “bullying” to deal with, is that taken care of via camera? or are the cameras turned off? Some neighboring schools have human monitors on their school buses, or at least they did some years ago. Do we have that, here in Lehighton school buses?

I must apologize for this random act of venting, but, it’s all built up over several weeks or months, even, and now, I just had to let off some steam.

So, Lehighton schools, go on with your grand plans and ideas, I wonder if your meetings open with a prayer to our God or your zombies, and Pledge of Allegiance? (That’s to our flag, you know).

Oh, well, no matter, God is still in control, his timing is different from ours, but he will win out over your zombies.

And don’t forget, everyone, we do have a grand Sports Complex and We Are #1!!!!
