N. Lehigh to purchase curriculum for special education students
Northern Lehigh School District will dole out nearly $60,000 for curriculum for its middle school and high school special education students.
The school board, on an 8-0 vote Monday, with Director Debra Bower absent, approved an agreement with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, for the purchase of Read 180 Universal curriculum for special education students at the middle school and high school, at a cost of $44,200.
Additionally, the board authorized the purchase of 20 laptops and two charging stations to use with the curriculum, at a cost not to exceed $13,100.
The funding will come from the cost settlement of the district’s Medical Access program.
