Nesquehoning tree lighting, caroling

Nesquehoning will host its annual Christmas tree lighting event at 7 p.m. on Dec. 9. The event is held at the Nesquehoning Lions Club tree, located in St. Patrick’s Cemetery next to Turkey Hill on Catawissa Street.

Before the event, Meed’s United Methodist Church members will gather at 5:30 p.m. to go caroling around town and will meet back at the tree in time for the lighting. The public is welcome to attend both events.
