Neighborhood watch

The next Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the borough hall. All are welcome.

Recreation commission

The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Recreation Commission will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the recreation center.

Panther Valley

Golden Agers

There were 28 members present for the birthday celebration at the Panther Valley Golden Agers meeting on Nov. 13. Twenty members were remembered.

In honor of all veterans in the military, Mike Vigota recited a prayer to celebrate Veterans Day. Norma Lee Burke led the singing of patriotic songs of all branches of the military.

This was the final meeting for the year 2017. The next meeting will be held on the second Monday in April 2018.
