Lehighton couple celebrates 50 years
Mr. and Mrs. David Armbruster
David and Magdalen Armbruster of Lehighton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was wed Nov. 5, 1966, at Zion Lutheran Church in Packerton by the Rev. James Papada.
Mrs. Armbruster is the former Magdalen K. Swatt, daughter of the late John Charles and E. Magdalen Swatt. Mr. Armbruster is the son of the late Herbert and Mae Armbruster.
The Armbrusters have three children: Christine, wife of Gary Shupp; David, husband of Melissa; and Richard, and his companion Joyce Zehner, all of Lehighton. The couple also has seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with family at a dinner at Knepper’s Restaurant.
