Palmerton student on Kutztown committee

Nykolai Aleksander Blichar has been selected to serve on the It's On Us Student Advisory Committee at Kutztown University.

Blichar, from Palmerton, is a political science major at Kutztown University and is one of 28 students on the committee. Students are selected from across the country including Fordham University, Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania.

It's On Us was launched by President Barack Obama in 2014 to change the way people think about sexual assault.

Students serving on the committee are widely diverse in their studies from political science to psychology to gender studies. These students are also involved in LGBTQ groups, Greek life and multicultural groups. Many have also worked around the issue of sexual assault as volunteer crisis counselors, peer educators or leading bystander intervention training.
