Palmerton Area Democratic Club to hold holiday dinner

The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will hold its annual meeting and election of officers at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Palmerton Hotel, 302 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

The meeting will be preceded by the club’s holiday dinner at 6:45 p.m.

The dinner begins with a social hour at 6 p.m.

The annual meeting and election of officers will follow around 7:30 p.m.

The proposed slate of officers for 2018 includes Sarina Berlow, president; Kathy Fallow, vice president; Marian Hoffner, secretary; Janine Carazo, treasurer; and Linda Christman, Carbon County E-Board Southern Region Coordinator.

Guests are asked to bring canned goods to share with the Food Bank run by the Community Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches.

The area covered by the club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township.

Meetings are held monthly at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month from September to May. Dues are $1 per year, and are due by Jan. 1. Newcomers are welcome.
