Rush zoners deny request for variance
A request by a Rush Township business for a variance from several sections of the township’s zoning ordinance has been rebuffed.
The township’s zoning hearing board on Tuesday denied an application from Turkey Hill Minit Markets, a division of the Kroger Company.
Zoning board solicitor William Burke said the application was denied because there was no representation on the applicant’s behalf.
Burke said the board will entertain any future applications should a representative appear in the future.
The property is located on the west side of Claremont Route 309.
