Car fire in Coaldale

Flames engulf an SUV parked in a lot along Route 209 in Coaldale around 6:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle was fully involved in flames when members of the Coaldale Fire Department arrived on the scene. Fire police directed traffic onto other streets in Coaldale while the firefighters extinguished the blaze. There were no reported injuries. It’s not known how the fire started.
