The winners, who trail after the first quarter but use a 21-8 second frame to take the lead for good, receive a team-high 12 points from Charlie Gilbert. Jimmy McHugh contributes nine points, while Charley Getz finishes with eight. Thorpe, coached by Ossie Maehrer, also receives six from Ed Kostishion and five each from Mike Hurley and Myron O’Neill.
