A look back: December 9, 1996

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Saturday heralding the arrival of the new Redner’s Warehouse Market in Nesquehoning.

Taking part in the ceremony were Tim Harrison of Harrison & Grass, the building owner, John “Sonny” and Joseph Kovatch, who brought the store to the community; Dick Redner, president of the food chain; Kevin Snyder, Redner’s vice president; Joseph Staivecki, Nesquehoning mayor; Charles Getz, chairman of the Carbon County Board of Commissioners; and Michael Green, president of the Panther Valley Chamber of Commerce.
