December 11, 1993 — Terry McLaughlin scores a game-high 18 points as Marian defeats Nativity, 75-54, to capture the Anthracite Hall of Fame Tournament championship at Weatherly. McLaughlin, who captures the tourney’s MVP award, tallies 10 of his points in the third quarter to help his team extend an eight-point halftime lead to a 28-point margin. The Colts, coached by Dave McAndrew, receive 14 points from Ken Lawson and 13 from Tom McCarroll. Mike Perilli, who makes the all-tourney team along with Lawson, contributes 11 points and 10 rebounds.
