Injuries averted in East Penn crash
Injuries were averted in a one-vehicle crash at 2 p.m. Saturday on Summer Mountain Road in East Penn Township.
Police said a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado was northbound on the road when the operator applied the brakes to avoid another vehicle in the roadway. That caused the Silverado to slide on the snow and ice-covered roadway and travel into the front yard at 402 Summer Mountain Road where it damaged two bushes.
The vehicle was not damaged, police said.
