Lehigh man given time-served sentence for stealing trailer
A Lehigh County man was sentenced to a time-served term in Carbon County court on Tuesday for stealing a trailer.
Judge Steven R. Serfass sentenced Gregory Doty Fuller, 54, of Whitehall, to 190 days to one day less 24 months on a charge of theft.
On a charge of driving under suspension, DUI related, he was sentenced to serve 45 to 90 days, concurrent with the theft charge. He was given credit for 190 days served and paroled.
Fuller was arrested on June 6 by state police at Lehighton for stealing a trailer from a property in Penn Forest Township. The trailer owner arrived just as Fuller was leaving with the trailer attached to a truck. He followed Fuller to Mauch Chunk Lake in Jim Thorpe. The victim then called state police, who arrived and took Fuller into custody. At the time, he was driving the truck he was under suspension, DUI related.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of $500 on the suspension charge and court costs of about $1,000.
