Tamaqua district court
Two men failed to appear for preliminary hearings before District Magisterial Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on Nov. 28; another had charges bound over for court after his hearing; and the remainder of defendants elected to waive their charges directly to the Schuylkill County Court of Common Pleas in Pottsville.
Shawn Richard Christy, 26, of McAdoo, had charges of harassment, five counts, bound over for court. The charges were filed by McAdoo patrolman Frederick Lahovski in connection with an Oct. 6 incident.
A warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to appear in court.
Daniel Dannenfelser, 42, of Cherry Street, Tamaqua, was charged with retail theft and disorderly conduct in relation to an Oct. 24 shoplifting case in Tamaqua. The charges were filed by patrolman Michael Hobbs.
A warrant was issued for Dannenfelser’s arrest.
Craig R. Christy, 54, of McAdoo, presented his case on charges of harassment, two counts, filed after an Oct. 5 incident by McAdoo patrolman Lahovski.
The charges were bound over for trial.
Christy was released on his own recognizance.
Danielle Fulton, 29, of Hazle Street, Tamaqua, waived charges of possession of marijuana, filed by Tamaqua patrolman Linaldy Rodriguez. One count of possession of a controlled substance was withdrawn. The charges stem from an Oct. 21 incident.
Fulton was released on her own recognizance.
Michael D. Gazo, 46, of Albrightsville, waived charges of criminal attempt to commit reckless endangerment, criminal attempt to commit assault, criminal attempt to commit strangulation. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Dino Dermargosian in connection with an Oct. 28 incident.
Gazo was released after posting $15,000 bail.
Matthew Logan, 26, of Hazleton, waived a hearing on charges of retail theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit retail theft. He was charged by Rush Township patrolman Bradley Hess after a Sept. 18 theft.
Logan was released on $5,000 percentage bail.
Lisa Marie Brown, 40, of Oak Street, Tamaqua, waived a hearing on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless endangerment of children by a parent, reckless driving and careless driving. The charges were filed by Rush Township patrolman Michael Weaver after a Sept. 3 incident.
Brown was released on her own recognizance.
Crystal Lopez, 26, of Hazleton, waived a hearing on charges of making a false report and disorderly conduct. The charges were filed by McAdoo patrolman Anthony Divirgilio in connection with an Aug. 6 incident.
Lopez was released on her own recognizance.
Robert Wiard, 30, of Sybertsville, Luzerne County, waived a charge of possession of a controlled substance, while conspiracy and criminal use of a communications facility charges were withdrawn. The arresting office was Kline Township patrolman Frederick Lahovski and the charges were related to an April 6 offense.
Wiard was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Elton E. Gonzalez, 26, of West Abbott Street, Lansford, waived a hearing on charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Christian Deangelo in connection with a Nov. 18 arrest.
Gonzalez was released on Nov. 21 after posting 10 percent of the imposed $10,000 bail.
Nicole M. Arabaci, 35, of Pottsville, remains in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville after waiving charges of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal attempt to commit theft by unlawful taking. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Thomas Rodgers in connection with a Nov. 2 break-in.
Arabaci’s bail was set at $10,000 percentage, which she was unable to post.
