Published December 18. 2017 12:14PM

A Lehighton woman convicted in October of drug charges stemming from a 2014 incident in Tamaqua will serve 12 to 30 months in state prison.

A Schuylkill County jury on Oct. 23 found Elizabeth Tansley, 29, guilty of conspiracy to manufacture, deliver, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; two counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; criminal use of communication facility; and having a controlled substance she was not authorized to have.

Judge John E. Domalakes ordered a presentence investigation before he imposed punishment.

The sentence will run consecutive to that in another case against Tansley. Domalakes also ordered her to pay court costs and fees, and gave her credit for 162 days she’s already served.

Tamaqua police chief Richard A. Weaver charged Tansley on Oct. 29, 2014, after she sold heroin to a confidential informant.
