West Penn Township

Published December 20. 2017 11:51AM

West Penn Township supervisors took the following action Monday morning:

• Announced it will push the matter of a 12-by-24 billboard back until sometime next month. The billboard would be located at the police department, at no cost to the township. A private firm is interested in installing the billboard and paying the township a rental fee over the course of a 20-year contract that would amount to between $4,000 to $4,600 per year, or $86,203 over the length of the contract.

• Instructed board secretary Katie Orlick to send a letter on behalf of the township to state Sen. David Argall, state Rep. Jerry Knowles, and Congressman Matt Cartwright, expressing concerns over the safety at the intersection of routes 309 and 895.

• Purchased a paver in the amount of $1,000 to be used for parts.
