Bomb scare reported at Wawa in Blakeslee

Pocono Mountain Regional Police reported that a bomb scare that took place at 5:51 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Wawa store in Blakeslee turned out to be false.

They were called to the store after a manager found a suspicious cup with wires and tin foil in it that was left on top of a gas pump.

Police said a bomb squad from the Scranton Police Department responded.

When the cup was found not to be a bomb, the store was reopened.

The Tobyhanna Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
