Mayor leading New Year’s polar plunge in Weatherly

Weatherly Borough will hold a polar plunge on New Year’s Day to raise money for charity.

The plunge will take place at 1 p.m. at the Eurana Park pool, 560 Third St. Registration begins at noon.

Weatherly Mayor Tom Connors is organizing and participating in the plunge.

There is a $20 donation to plunge, and fans can vote for their favorite plunger for $1.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Weatherly Winter Recreation Program.
