Pickup hits pole on Route 54

Route 54 in Rush Township was closed this morning because of a crash at 4:30 a.m.
The driver of a pick-up lost control, went off the road and hit a utility pole.
That impact caused wires to another pole to snap off across the roadway.
The injured driver was treated at the scene by members of the Ryan Township ambulance.
State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
The Hometown and Ryan township fire companies responded to the scene.
Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down Route 54 at Marian Avenue.
