Two people hurt in Ross Township crash
Two people were hurt in a crash that happened at 2:48 a.m. Sunday on Meixsell Valley Road (Township Route 361) in Ross Township.
State police at the Lehighton barracks said Tyler A. Hudak, 18, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital by a local EMS unit.
Alyssa M. Wyant, 18, of Stewartsville, New Jersey, who was a passenger in the vehicle, received minor injuries.
Police said Hudak was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry westbound when it left the road and struck a tree.
He was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and is facing DUI charges, police said.
