Kresgeville man taken into custody in Ross
David C. Shanahan, 55, of Kresgeville, was apprehended and taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant against him after a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 7:41 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 1400 block of Kunkletown Road in Ross Township.
Police said he was stopped for summary violations while driving at the above location, after which time he drove off as police attempted to turn the vehicle off. A brief pursuit followed, as did a foot chase, before Shanahan was taken into custody and eventually lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.
