Rear-end crash reported in Lehigh

Upper Macungie Township police reported investigating a rear-end crash at 8:41 a.m. May 19 on Schantz Road.

Police said a 2012 Chevrolet Colorado pickup operated by Douglas J. Frantz, 71, of Slatington, was eastbound and stopped for traffic in front of him when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by Rachel A. Miller, 19, of Alburtis.

Miller was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. Frantz was not injured. Miller's vehicle had to be towed.

Troopers cited Miller for following too closely.
