Monroe County Women’s Commission accepts nominations

The Monroe County Women’s Commission is accepting nominations for their annual Women’s History Month Awards.

Each year, the Commission recognizes outstanding work by local women for various accomplishments.

This year, the Women’s History Month theme is “Nevertheless, She Persisted: Honoring Women who have Fought Discrimination Against Women.”

Awards will be presented at 9:30 a.m. March 7 at the Monroe County Commissioners meeting in Stroudsburg.

Anyone who knows of a woman deserving of recognition should contact the Monroe County Women’s Commission.
