Two die after Franklin house fire

Officials confirmed this morning that two people have died after fire broke out Sunday night at an apartment building in Franklin Township.

There was a report of entrapment when firefighters arrived. Two people were pulled from the blaze, according to reports on the scene.

The victims were transported to the hospital.

Multiple fire departments were on scene for more than seven hours at the fire, which broke out at 5:30 p.m.

 Some include Lehighton, Franklin Township, Bowmanstown, East Penn, Mahoning Township, and Parryville.

Palmerton ambulance, Lehighton ALS and Mahoning Valley ambulance responded.
